Bill Ball is the President of MMC and APi HVAC Services, Inc., which is APi Group’s mechanical division consisting of MMC and NAC based in Minneapolis and St. Paul metro, Tessiers based in South Dakota, Grunau based in Milwaukee, and Merit Contracting in Rochester, MN.
Bill began his career with APi Group in 2009 as a candidate in the Leadership Development Program. Following a year-long rotation, he started as a project manager at Delta Fire Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bill was with Delta Fire from 2010 through 2015 and served as President from 2012-2015. Bill and his family then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2015 and served as President of Grunau Company from 2015-2022. In late 2022, Bill moved back to Minneapolis to lead MMC and the APi Group HVAC team.
Prior to joining API Group, Bill served as an officer in the US Army for 14 years. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received an MBA from the University of Utah.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time (especially skiing) with his wife, son, and daughter.
Trevor McCulloch is Vice President and general manager of MMC’s Commercial Service Department. Trevor provides guidance and leadership to all aspects of the service business for MMC. He is responsible for the daily operation of MMC’s large fleet of factory trained union mechanical service plumbers and technicians. Trevor is also directly responsible for the development and management of an experienced group of service project managers and administrative personnel.
Trevor has been in the mechanical service business since he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies. He has been with MMC since March of 2011. During that time Trevor has been focused on the improvement of MMC’s internal service procedures by continually implementing new construction industry technology to keep MMC on the forefront of emerging technology. Trevor believes that keeping technology current is the key to continuing to provide the peace of mind that MMC’s service customers demand. In addition to technology being a key focus, Trevor also believes that everyone needs to be accountable for their actions while maintaining a high level of trust. If we can supply those things to our customers we can reduce critical down time and eliminate unplanned outages.
Trevor and his wife Lyn are both University of Minnesota alumni and currently have two very active young boys. He can usually be found with his two boys in the outdoors hunting or fishing. Trevor and Lyn enjoy cheering on the Golden Gophers in just about any sport.
As Vice President of Construction, Tyler works on assisting our project managers deliver exceptional service for our owner direct and design-build projects.
Tyler graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. In 2016 he passed his professional engineering test and is a licensed engineer in the state of Minnesota. Tyler started at MMC as an assistant project manager in January of 2012. He worked under many different project managers on a diverse range of projects and quickly became acclimated to MMC. As his career advanced, Tyler focused on owner direct design-build projects where he was able to use his craft expertise and customer focused sales to build lasting relationships.
Tyler married his wife Laura in 2012, and they have two children and one dog. During their free time they love spending time up north relaxing at the lake, hunting, fishing and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer.
Elliot Newton is the Vice President of Large Project Construction at MMC. He works closely with project managers and field leaders to deliver exceptional service on large construction projects, primarily in partnership with General Contractors.
Elliot graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He earned his Professional Engineer license in Minnesota in 2019. Elliot began his MMC career as an Intern Assistant Project Manager in 2012, completing several internships before joining full‑time. Since then, he has contributed to major projects across the Minneapolis market, including sports stadiums, data centers, R&D facilities, and educational facilities. In addition to his large‑project portfolio, Elliot led the implementation of MMC’s current ERP platform for his division and played a key role in developing APi HVAC’s Mission Critical Division.
Elliot married his wife, Kathryn, in 2020. They have two children and a dog named Zoey. In their free time, they enjoy spending time at their cabin and exploring local parks in their hometown.
James Lamprecht is a tenured construction executive with more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC and plumbing industry. A 1999 graduate of St. Paul College, he began his career immediately after graduation and has since built a deep understanding of the field through hands-on work and progressive leadership roles.
Over the course of his career, James has contributed to nearly every facet of mechanical construction, including design, project management, operations management, and senior executive leadership. This extensive background gives him a comprehensive, end‑to‑end perspective on project delivery, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
James specializes in large-scale, complex projects, with a focus on mission‑critical facilities such as data centers, arenas and stadiums, and higher‑education campuses. His leadership is defined by technical expertise, collaboration, and a strong commitment to safety, schedule certainty, and quality execution.
He currently serves as Vice President of Mission Critical Construction at API HVAC Services, where he leads strategic initiatives and oversees the delivery of high‑reliability mechanical systems for some of the industry's most demanding environments.
Outside of work, James prioritizes time with his family. He and his wife, Michelle, married in 2009 and have two children and a dog. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, spending time outdoors hunting, and pursuing his passion for horsepower and all types of vehicles.
Marisa Holtz serves as the Controller for HVAC Services/MMC, where she partners with the business to support financial operations and back office functions.
Marisa earned both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) and her Masters: Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She began her career in 2010 with Grunau Company—another APi Group business—in Oak Creek, WI, working as a Project Accountant. In 2023, she relocated to Eden Prairie, MN to take on her current role as Controller for HVAC Services/MMC.
Outside of work, Marisa and her husband, Jordan, whom she married in 2010, keep busy with their two children and two dogs. Since moving to Minnesota, the family has fully embraced the local hockey culture and now spends much of their free time at the rink.
Jeff graduated from Northern State University with a Sociology B.A. and the University of Wyoming with a Law J.D.
Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in occupational safety and health management in public entities and corporate settings. Jeff received the Advanced Safety Certification through the National Safety Council in 2019 for training in Occupational Safety and Health. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), which aims to advance safety in the construction industry. Jeff has additional education and experience in Workplace Violence Prevention, Disaster Preparedness and Response, Environmental Regulations & Hazardous Materials Identification, and a variety of other safety-related areas.
Committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace, Jeff's area of responsibility includes compliance with all State and Federal regulations relating to occupational safety and health.
Jeff provides leadership, training, information, resources, policy development, and consultation services to all MMC employees and departments.
Since 1994, Jeff has been married to his wife, Linda, who is an educator. Together they have two daughters and a Chihuahua. In addition to spending time with his family and traveling, Jeff is an avid reader, runner, fisherman, and hunter.
Troy is a seasoned commercial service HVAC professional with over 30 years of industry experience, known for his deep technical knowledge and hands-on leadership. A graduate of Hennepin Technical College with a degree in HVAC and a proud U.S. Navy veteran, Troy built his career from the ground up, spending 25 years in the field performing and leading commercial service work. During that time, he specialized in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of complex and highly specialized HVAC systems. This extensive field background eventually led him into his current role as Service Field Leader, where he integrates technical expertise with operational leadership to support both his team and his customers.
Over the course of his career, Troy has developed a well-rounded perspective on both the technical and business sides of the industry. He is especially passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of service technicians, focusing on building their skills, confidence, and professionalism.
Outside of work, Troy enjoys spending time with his wife, Dawn, their two children, and three grandchildren. The family loves being together at their lake place, where slowing down, making memories, and enjoying time together are just as meaningful to him as the work he does in his profession.
