    Bill Ball - President

    Bill Ball is the president of MMC and leader of APi Goup’s Mechanical Division consisting of MMC and NAC based in Minneapolis, Tessiers based in South Dakota, Grunau based in Milwaukee, and Twin City Garage Door based in Minneapolis.  

    Bill began his career with APi Group in 2009 as a candidate in the Leadership Development Program. Following a year-long rotation, he started as a project manager at Delta Fire Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bill was with Delta Fire from 2010 through 2015 and served as president from 2012-2015.  Bill and his family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in late 2015 and served as President of Grunau Company through 2022. Most recently, Bill and his family moved back to Minneapolis in late 2022.

    Prior to joining APi Group, Bill served nine years in the U.S. Army, first as an Infantry officer with the 101st Airborne Division and finished his career as a commander with the 10th Special Forces Group (Green Beret). He grew up in rural North Carolina and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received an MBA from the University of Utah.

    Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time (especially skiing) with his wife, Erica, their son, Will, and daughter, Hailey.

  • Chad Nelson - Executive Vice President of Construction

    Chad Nelson - Executive Vice President of Construction

    As Executive Vice President of Construction, Chad’s focus is on developing relationships with building owners, general contractors, architects and consulting engineers to provide best value mechanical solutions.

    Chad graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering and an Environmental emphasis. In June of 2014 marked Chad’s 20th Anniversary of employment at MMC. Chad has had the opportunity to be a part of some very prominent projects in the region including UnitedHealth Group Headquarters, Maple Grove Hospital, St. Cloud Hospital East Addition, Fairview Maple Grove Health Campus, Target Field, Northrop Auditorium and Sanford Fargo Medical Center.

    Chad was married in 1995 to his wife Patrice and they were blessed with two sons, Gunnar and Tor. They also have three dogs (Garth, Ole and Lute) and a cat (Hobo) so there is never a dull moment in the Nelson household. Chad and his family enjoy the outdoors, including camp fires, gardening, hiking, alpine skiing, fishing and upland bird hunting. "Our faith is what binds us together, gives us purpose and sets our course for life’s adventures."

  • Tim Daly - Vice President and Construction Executive

    Tim Daly - Vice President and Construction Executive

    As a vice president and construction executive, Tim assists our project managers in helping to provide our customers with the highest level of service possible.

    Tim has worked in the mechanical business for more than 34 years. He is a graduate of Lakewood Community College and St. Paul Technical College which covered areas of heating, cooling and refrigeration. He holds master contracting licenses in high pressure steam and ammonia, hot water and low pressure steam, natural gas, oil burners and refrigeration.

    Tim has been married to his wife Carole for 29 years. Together they have one daughter, Kelly. In addition to enjoying time spent with his family at their cabin and traveling for family vacations, Tim is an avid outdoorsman and big game hunting enthusiast.

  • Trevor McCulloch - Vice President of Service

    Trevor McCulloch - Vice President of Service

    Trevor McCulloch is vice president and general manager of MMC’s Commercial Service Department. Trevor provides guidance and leadership to all aspects of the service business for MMC. He is responsible for the daily operation of MMC’s large fleet of factory trained union Mechanical service plumbers and technicians. Trevor is also directly responsible for the development and management of an experienced group of service project managers and administrative personnel.

    Trevor has been in the mechanical service business since he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies. He has been with MMC since March of 2011. During that time Trevor has been focused on the improvement of MMC’s internal service procedures by continually implementing new construction industry technology to keep MMC on the forefront of emerging technology. Trevor believes that keeping technology current is the key to continuing to provide the peace of mind that MMC’s Service customers demand. In addition to technology being a key focus, Trevor also believes that everyone needs to be accountable for their actions while maintaining a high level of trust. If we can supply those things to our customers we can reduce critical down time and eliminate unplanned outages.

    Trevor and his wife Lyn are both University of Minnesota alumni and currently have two very active young boys, Wallace and Owen. He can usually be found with his two boys in the outdoors hunting or fishing. Trevor and Lyn enjoy cheering on the Golden Gophers in just about any sport.

  • Matt Gardner - Vice President of Building Intelligence

    Matt Gardner - Vice President of Building Intelligence

    Matt graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Marketing and International Business. He has successfully completed many complex integration projects over his career, focusing on integrated automation, enterprise systems integration4 and energy services within the healthcare, mission critical/laboratory and industrial markets. His knowledge of preconstruction, design, estimating and systems integration brings value to evaluating total building systems performance, cost and interoperability.

    Matt and his wife Bethany have three daughters. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, attending concerts and live performances, outdoor activities and home brewing.

  • Tyler Strachota - Vice President of Special Projects

    Tyler Strachota - Vice President of Special Projects

    As vice president of special projects, Tyler works on assisting our project managers deliver exceptional service for our owner direct and design-build projects.

    Tyler Graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. In 2016 he passed his professional engineering test and is a licensed engineer in the state of Minnesota. Tyler started at MMC as an assistant project manager in January of 2012 and worked under many different project mangers on a diverse range of projects. As his career advanced, Tyler focused on owner direct design-build projects where he was able to use his craft expertise and customer focused sales to build lasting relationships.

    Tyler married his wife Laura in 2012, and they have two children and one dog. During their free time they love spending time up north relaxing at the lake, hunting, fishing and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer. 

  • Jeff Kaiser - Safety Leader

    Jeff Kaiser - Safety Leader

    Jeff graduated from Northern State University with a Sociology B.A. and the University of Wyoming with a Law J.D.  He has more than 20 years of experience in occupational safety and health management in public entities and corporate settings.  Having received extensive training in Occupational Safety and Health, Jeff received the Advanced Safety Certification through the National Safety Council in 2019.  He is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals  (ASSP), which aims to advance safety in the construction industry.  Jeff has additional education and experience in Workplace Violence Prevention, Disaster Preparedness and Response, Environmental Regulations & Hazardous Materials Identification, and a variety of other safety-related areas.    

    Committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace, Jeff's area of responsibility includes compliance with all State and Federal regulations relating to occupational safety and health.  Jeff provides leadership, training, information, resources, policy development, and consultation services to all MMC employees and departments.

    Since 1994, Jeff has been married to his wife, Linda, who is an educator. Together they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Allison, and a Chihuahua, Oliver. In addition to spending time with his family and traveling, Jeff is an avid reader, runner, fisherman, and hunter.

  • Tasha Lawrence - Modular Operations Leader & DEI Leader

    Tasha Lawrence - Modular Operations Leader & DEI Leader

    Tasha has more than 16 years of experience as a plumber and has been with MMC since 2008. During her tenure with MMC, she has held several roles.  In her current role, Tasha is a general foreman in our shop. She is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the plumbing & modular fabrication shop.

    Tasha also serves as MMC’s Diversity and Outreach leader and is committed to advancing women and people of color in the skilled trades. Her advocacy efforts have increased visibility to career pathways within the industry and local communities, and she strives to promote equitable accessibility of trade careers across diverse populations. She is actively involved with a variety of organizations that teach about the construction trades & promote women in the industry. Additionally, Tasha serves on the boards for MN State Plumbing and Women Building Success.

    In her free time, Tasha enjoys traveling—particularly to warmer climates—and spending time with her husband Jack, their three children, and one grandchild.
